Debt Management

West Virginia Code §12-6A-3 created the Debt Management Division within the Office of State Treasurer. The Debt Management Division serves as a central information source concerning the incurrence, recording and reporting of debt issued by the state, its agencies, boards, commissions and authorities. The debt information does not include unfunded liabilities of the state, claims and judgments or compensated absences. Additionally, the Debt Management Division performs the following functions:

  • Processes monthly debt service payments
  • Issues annual and semi-annual Debt Management reports
  • Issues annual Debt Capacity reports
